It is a great picture Joel. Your post struck a cord with me, about that
loss of place. I know what you mean with
you said “extended family of neighbors seemed to
be missing.” For me it was when I returned to my childhood home and I didn’t
consider it to be my home anymore.
People had moved on, my bedroom was a guest room, and after dinner I had
to leave.
